Your Super Bowl style guide

Beyonce Super BowlWith the Big Game coming up on Feb. 3, many of us sports fans are gearing up for the epic showdown — literally.

Super Bowl XLVII will be historical as for the first time in football history, head coaching brothers will fight to lead their teams to victory. While Jim Harbaugh, 49, head coach of the San Francisco 49ers, squares up with big brother John Harbaugh, 50, head coach of the Baltimore Ravens, many of us will be catching the action at various bars and house parties in Chicago.

When getting ready for our respective Super Bowl fetes, there is one thing to keep in mind: comfort. However, we shouldn’t compromise our style.

Ladies, I would suggest leaving the stilettos at home. I know this goes against “the higher the heel…” mantra, but its football! The last thing you want to do is wipe out running towards the chip bowl. If you still lust for some height in the shoe department, there is a way around this. (See style guide below)

Guys, although you might be tempted to dress uber-comfy for the game, think twice before reaching for those slummy sweats. You still want to look decent just in case your new crush swings by.

Whether we’re cheering on the 49ers or Ravens, or just watching the commercials and waiting to see if the fierce Beyoncé will lip-synch through the coveted halftime show, what better way to show our team spirit than with some stylish duds perfect for any Super Bowl party.
