Man sexually assaulted in Boystown: police

Stock Crime Scene
A 25-year-old man was sexually assaulted in a Boystown neighborhood apartment last Saturday night into Sunday morning, according to police.

The victim told police he met a 27-year-old man for drinks at a bar in the neighborhood on the night of Jan. 11, and after a few drinks, “somehow ended up” at the other man’s apartment in the 800 block of West Cornelia Avenue, according to a summary obtained from Chicago Police News Affairs.

Police were called to Northwestern Memorial Hospital early Jan. 13, where the victim alleged he was sexually assaulted by the other man.

The victim was unsure if he wanted to pursue charges, but wanted to have the incident documented by police.

Police could not provide any further details — including the name of the bar where the men met — Wednesday morning, but Chicago Phoenix will continue to seek information.
