Going Out With A Bang: Your End Of Summer Playlist!

It’s that time of year: Summer is winding down and things are about to shift. August is usually a strange time for most people, when the clock ominously ticks toward September and there’s still time to fit more in while the memories of the liberating, warm months are still fresh in our minds. It can inspire nostalgia as it motivates us to reflect but could also induce slight panic before Autumn hits.

So for your bittersweet accompaniment, we’ve put together a list of some of the best songs of the past few months, the ones that soared high and are a staple of the season. To convey this, there’s Bassnectar’s remix of Ellie Goulding’s “Lights” and Calvin Harris’s “Let’s Go” with Ne-Yo. We feature some of the summer’s best music we heard at live shows, including an appearance by Washed Out at last weekend’s Lollapalooza and the Scissor Sister show in June’s Pride festival. But the playlist also previews a bit of what’s to come in the following months, with tastes of new No Doubt and Passion Pit that are sure to get big very soon. Complete with club jams and laid-back lovable anthems, we hope this collection provides the right kind of noise to fill your eardrums for that last kick of summer. And make sure you go out with a bang.
